Whether coaching one on one, facilitating executive retreats, or designing simulations, he helps leaders make better decisions, launch new initiatives, work across boundaries, confront difficult professional conflicts, and build high-performing teams.
As an executive coach and advisor, Tom has worked across nearly every industry and several countries—including Bay-area technology giants, global pharmaceutical companies, and social entrepreneurs seeking to transform communities and business. Given his experience, he’s a sought-after public speaker and expert – even writing a leadership column at The Washington Post for eight years.
Tom earned a BA in Political Science from Bowling Green State University and an MPP from Georgetown University. As a lifelong student of leadership, performance, and results, he’s earned additional certificates from the Aspen Institute, the University of Virginia, and the International Coaching Federation as a Professional Certified Coach.
Originally from Ohio, Tom lives with his wife and kids in the Virginia suburbs of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Having lived overseas in Spain for three years, Tom enjoys traveling with his family, exploring new areas through walking tours or trail hikes, listening to live music, and supporting his kids’ in entertainment, music, and sports.
