Josh Leight

K-12 EDUCATION LEADERSHIP COACH

Josh leads a high-performing elementary school in the Unionville Chadds-Ford School District and collaborates with 90 staff members to serve over 350 students and their families.

With nearly a decade of experience as a school principal, Josh has taught and led schools across a variety of contexts in the Philadelphia area. He is an expert in Text-Dependent Analysis, and he provides professional development for teachers on a variety of topics. Josh is passionate about outdoor education and has built partnerships with countless regional environmental organizations. He led his Hillendale Elementary team to earn recognition as a 2023 U.S. Green Ribbon School.

Josh is a creative leader, teacher, and collaborator who is passionate about providing educational opportunities for all youth. He leads with kindness, organization, deliberation, reflection, humility, and confidence.

Josh holds a B.S. in Sociology and an M.A. in Teaching, Learning, & Technology from Lehigh University. He earned his administrative certification while studying Educational Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania. Josh is also a published researcher in higher education funding.

Based just outside Philadelphia, Josh enjoys coaching Little League Baseball, exploring parks and playgrounds, and visiting local restaurants and breweries with his wife and two young boys.
