Jenny Ball

Jenny is a communication researcher with particular expertise in the topics of persuasion, trust, storytelling, and emotion. With over 20 years of experience in industry and academia, Jennifer has leveraged her expertise to help clients across a wide range of sectors address questions of brand strategy, message design, and stakeholder perceptions.

Jenny received a BS in Communication Studies and Psychology from Northwestern University and an MA and Ph.D. in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. As a faculty member at the University of Minnesota and Temple University, she taught courses on research methods, psychological processes, and culture. She has presented award-winning research at conferences of the American Academy of Advertising and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and published in a variety of communication and marketing journals.  

Jenny hails from Chicago but currently lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and two teenage children. In her spare time, she enjoys challenging herself with trivia nights, escape rooms, and performing in community theater.
