Christa Fazio

Christa Fazio advises public school districts and education leaders, helping them develop innovative communication strategies, manage crises effectively, and craft compelling narratives that elevate their profiles and engage their communities.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, including 14 in public education, Christa has built a strong skill set rooted in strategic communications, branding, community engagement, and leadership.

Christa began her career in the newsroom before transitioning to public relations as a Senior Account Executive at Tierney, a leading PR and advertising agency in Philadelphia, where she led creative campaigns for a variety of consumer and B2B clients. In 2012, she shifted her focus to education, leading her first school district in innovative communication strategies. In 2018, Christa joined the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District, serving as the Director of Communications and Community Relations, where she developed a robust communication program, helped lead the district through the pandemic, and directed communication strategies for a variety of major district initiatives. In her current role as Director of Communication, Marketing, and Engagement at Chester County Intermediate Unit, she provides communication leadership to all school districts in Chester County.

A recognized leader in school communications, Christa has presented at state and national conferences on topics such as branding, crisis management, and leadership. She is a resource to educational leaders throughout the state, providing training on building trust through communication, and guides legislative advocacy efforts for education in PA. She also serves as Executive Director for the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association (PenSPRA).

Christa holds degrees in journalism and public relations from La Salle University. Originally from upstate New York, she now lives in Chester County, Pennsylvania, with her family. When not at work, Christa is passionate about exploring her community, nurturing her creative spirit, and sharing her expertise to empower others.
