Barbara Deskey

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Barbara coaches and advises senior and aspiring leaders, primarily in professional services, financial services, telecommunications, media, and high-tech industries. She also supports non-profit organizations and those looking to scale. She is passionate about helping leaders create an environment for excellence and invest in their people to deliver measurable results. 

With more than 35 years of experience helping leaders cultivate influence and tighten team bonds, she counsels individuals and cohorts on honing their advisory and relationship behaviors, communication skills, and leadership style. She delivers coaching, facilitation, and speaking engagements focused on organization-wide change, how to excel when private investors are deeply involved, and how to prepare high-potential talent to take on more senior roles and help new hires integrate into senior leadership teams. She draws on career chapters in management consulting, investment banking, and as a co-founder and board advisor to multiple start-ups. Her clients include Davidson Kempner, Galvanize Climate Solutions, GoodInfo, The Home Depot, KPMG, Meta, Morgan Stanley, Oppenheimer & Co., and Trinity Church Wall Street.

Barbara holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. She has earned several coaching and assessment certifications. She is actively involved in multiple alumni, professional, and secondary education organizations. 

Barbara is based in Atlanta, where she lives with her husband. A mother of two, she is a former professional violinist and occasional singer. She enjoys sailing, watching lacrosse and dance, and traveling to experience new cultures.
